The ride starts at the Historic Christian Church parking lot at 222 Church St. About 2.5 miles after leaving the start there is a photo control at Harris Teeter on the way out and Triangle Wine on the return. Get off the road to safely take pictures.
White Lake is at 200 km and 400km and there are several motels in White Lake if you want to stop there on the way back.
I have changed the route to avoid the heavy traffic on US 117. At Rocky Point continue straight on NC 210 to Dallie Futch Rd. Take a photo control picture of the road sign then turn right on Island Creek Rd. Continue straight onto Holly Shelter Rd. to Castle Hayne Rd. to the control at the Circle K store in Castle Hayne.
Reverse the course out of Castle Hayne to Dallie Furch Rd. and take another photo control picture of the sign. You can also take a picture of the fire station there but RWGPS says it does not exist.
Turn left on NC 210 and continue back to Rocky Point. The control at White Lake is the Scotchman store. I was not able to get a room at White Lake so there is no sag or bag drop this year.
